AI Service Providers (Essential for Service Function)

We share your data with the following AI providers to deliver core Service functionality:

Anthropic (Claude AI) - United States

Data Shared: All conversation content, personal context, emotional state data, user preferences

Purpose: Text conversation processing, response generation, content analysis

Retention: Subject to Anthropic's data retention policies (outside our control)

Google Gemini AI - United States/Global

Data Shared: Conversation content, behavioral patterns, user goals, emotional insights

Purpose: Advanced conversation analysis, personalization, pattern recognition

Retention: Subject to Google's data retention policies (outside our control)

xAI Grok - United States

Data Shared: Conversation queries, topic analysis, user context, real-time questions

Data Shared: Voice recordings, audio preferences, speech patterns, conversation content for synthesis

EACH AI PROVIDER OPERATES UNDER ITS OWN PRIVACY POLICY AND DATA PRACTICES. Selyne cannot and does not control how these providers process, store, or use your data beyond our contractual agreements. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THE RISKS of third-party data processing including potential data breaches, unauthorized access, or misuse by these providers.

Analytics & Tracking Services

Google Analytics - United States/Global

Data Shared: Website usage, page views, session data, device info, anonymized user behavior

Purpose: Website analytics, performance monitoring, user experience optimization

Control: Managed through Google Analytics settings and cookie preferences

Pendo - United States

Data Shared: App interactions, feature usage, user flows, session recordings, click patterns

Purpose: Product analytics, user experience optimization, feature effectiveness tracking

Control: May include screen recordings of your app usage

Essential Service Providers

SELYNE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any damages resulting from security incidents, data breaches, or unauthorized access to your information, except as required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights & Responsibilities

Your Privacy Rights (Subject to Limitations)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. However, these rights are subject to limitations and may not apply to all data processing activities:

Access & Portability (Limited)

Request a copy of your personal data, subject to technical limitations and third-party restrictions. Some data processed by AI providers may not be accessible.

Correction (Where Technically Feasible)

Request correction of inaccurate information, though AI-processed data may be difficult to modify and historical conversation data typically cannot be altered.

Deletion (With Restrictions)

Request deletion of your data, subject to legal, operational, and technical requirements. Data shared with third-party AI providers may not be deletable from their systems.

Communication Preferences

Control marketing communications, though transactional and service-related communications will continue as necessary for Service operation.

Data Processing Objection (May Limit Service)

Object to certain data processing, though this may result in Service limitations or termination as our core functionality requires comprehensive data processing.

⚠️ Important Limitations

Your privacy rights are subject to significant limitations due to the nature of AI processing and third-party integrations. Exercising certain rights may result in Service degradation or termination. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your requests but cannot guarantee full compliance due to technical and operational constraints.

Your Responsibilities

By using Selyne, you acknowledge and agree to the following responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all information you provide
  • You understand and accept the risks of sharing personal and sensitive information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You accept responsibility for any consequences of data breaches affecting your account
  • You understand that AI processing may produce unexpected or undesired results
  • You acknowledge that perfect data security cannot be guaranteed
  • You accept the inherent risks of international data transfers and third-party processing

6. Data Retention & Deletion Policies

We retain your information according to the following schedule, though third-party processors may have different retention periods outside our control:

Active Account Data

Retained while your account remains active and for up to 90 days after account deletion to allow for account recovery and legal compliance.

Conversation History

Retained indefinitely while your account is active to maintain conversation context and personalization. May be retained longer for AI model training and service improvement.

Analytical & Usage Data

Retained for up to 7 years for business analytics, fraud prevention, and legal compliance purposes.

Legal & Compliance Data

Retained as required by applicable laws, regulations, or for legitimate legal purposes including litigation, investigations, and regulatory compliance.

Third-Party Processed Data

Subject to each third-party provider's retention policies. Selyne cannot control or guarantee deletion of data from third-party AI providers' systems.

🚨 DELETION LIMITATIONS

COMPLETE DATA DELETION CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. Data may persist in backups, archives, third-party systems, and AI model training datasets. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete your data but cannot ensure complete removal from all systems and third-party providers.

7. Children's Privacy

Selyne is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you may only use the Service with parental consent and supervision. Parents are fully responsible for their minor children's use of the Service.

If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information, though complete deletion from third-party AI systems cannot be guaranteed.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will:

  • Notify relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours when feasible and required by law
  • Notify affected users without undue delay when required by applicable law
  • Provide information about the nature of the breach and steps being taken to address it
  • Offer recommendations for protecting yourself from potential consequences

⚠️ Breach Notification Limitations

Our ability to detect and notify you of breaches affecting third-party AI providers is limited. We are not responsible for breaches occurring in third-party systems and may not be aware of such incidents in a timely manner or at all. You should monitor communications from our AI service providers directly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time at our sole discretion. We will notify you of material changes through the Service, email, or by posting a notice on our website. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise specified.

Your continued use of Selyne after changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the modified Privacy Policy, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service and request account deletion (subject to the limitations described above).

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Greece and the European Union, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any disputes arising from this Privacy Policy or our data practices shall be resolved according to the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms of Service and applicable Greek and EU law.

As a company registered in Greece, we are fully compliant with GDPR requirements and European Union data protection standards. Greek law shall govern interpretation and enforcement of this Privacy Policy.
